Oliver’s Adventures In Fairyland sounds like you will be taking part in some fun filled adventure which may involve a theme park about fairies. Well that’s not the case with Oliver’s Adventures In Fairyland, if you’re played any Metroidvania-esque games before then you’ll know what Oliver’s Adventures In Fairyland is all about.

In Oliver’s Adventures In Fairyland, you as Oliver is happily sitting at home when suddenly out of nowhere you get sucked into Fairyland, thus beginning your adventure. You are greeted by a wizard who informs you what is required before you can jump into a portal and head home, basically retrieving and returning some treasure. At this point you jump into a dungeon which is a series of interconnected rooms which you will need to investigate.

Oliver’s Adventures In Fairyland is a pretty standard platforming game. You need keys to access certain areas, within these areas will be enemies, treasures and hearts. At the beginning your skills are fairly limited, as you progress you’ll find boots that will allow you to stick your self to walls and scuba gear which will give you the ability to snorkel your way into the watery depths of some of the lower dungeons. These upgrades will be needed so make these your priority in Oliver’s Adventures In Fairyland. There’s quite a bit of going backtracking as you find keys that will open doors, some areas will be inaccessible unless you have equipped a certain upgrade. There are 6 upgrades to find, 6 keys to discover and 11 treasures to pick up in Oliver’s Adventures In Fairyland, once the treasures are found you can return back to wizard and you can go home.

2D, Action, adventure, Hoodoo Bear, indie, IndieMax, Oliver’s Adventures In Fairyland, Oliver’s Adventures In Fairyland Review, Platformer, PS4, PS4 Review, Rating 6/10, retro, Victory RoadYou can unlock a cheat system in Oliver’s Adventures In Fairyland, it will make Oliver’s Adventures In Fairyland a lot easier to get through, but that depends on you. With the cheats you can ….. cheat death …., so Oliver’s Adventures In Fairyland could be completed in half an hour, without the cheats add another a couple of hours. There are no check points or custom saves but there are areas where you can save, which i would suggest is something you do often. There are few characters you can help get out of sticky situations, these will be the only times you will have any dialogue with anyone, besides the main plot of finding treasure to go home there isn’t much dialogue or story in Oliver’s Adventures In Fairyland. The classic 8-bit big bosses are in Oliver’s Adventures In Fairyland, just like most 8-bit bosses they follow a fairly repetitive attack strategies so it won’t take too long to beat them especially if you have the cheats enabled. Oliver’s Adventures In Fairyland is one map of linked rooms, there are no levels or stages as such so you may find some of the rooms a bit on the mundane side. Oliver’s Adventures In Fairyland is definitely a title that wouldn’t look out of place in the eighties/early nineties.

The jumping in Oliver’s Adventures In Fairyland can be a little suspect, it’s not quite a case of getting every jump exactly right but there are some sections which can be really annoying because you have to jump on to small platforms with slightly out of sync jumping mechanics. When you leave a room and return the enemies respawn, adding this element with the somewhat frustrating jumping can make Oliver’s Adventures In Fairyland a fairly repetitive experience. There’s not much new to be found in Oliver’s Adventures In Fairyland, the upgrades are quite fun to use once found but the constant backtracking will put some players off. The enemies in Oliver’s Adventures In Fairyland are your standard dungeon clientele such as skeletons, the dungeons also include the usual fireballs and spikes.

Oliver’s Adventures In Fairyland is a fairly straightforward platforming adventure. If you like playing 8-bit Metroidvania games then you’ll get a couple of hours fun out of Oliver’s Adventures In Fairyland, if you’re looking for something more modern then Oliver’s Adventures In Fairyland won’t change your mind. Oliver’s Adventures In Fairyland is a reasonably challenging affair but once it’s completed there’s no reason to go back and replay it. The plot is fun but a little on the thin side, a few more interesting interactions with the games characters might have given Oliver’s Adventures In Fairyland a deeper experience but it’s a decent title in it’s present format.
