Witch It Review

Most of us may or may have not heard about the well-known game mode for Garry’s Mod known as PropHunt! It is just one of those games you can play with your friends for a good laugh during a boring Sunday evening! Well, Witch It has been around for quite some time and it was just recently as of October 22nd, 2020 that it left Early Access! For me, this is a perfect game to have fun and do silly things in since it really is light-hearted. You might be wondering why it is so flipping fun with such a simple idea? Well, let me tell you why!

When playing, you will either take the role of a Witch or a Hunter! It pretty much says it all, but I’ll still explain to all of you! As a Witch, you will have to hide and disguise yourself as different items as the Hunters are trying to chase you down. You can not only hide as items when you are playing as a witch, but you can also possess them! There will also be different abilities that will allow you to hide and you can get them by just levelling up! Simple as that, isn’t it?

Don’t forget to use your broom in order to gain an advantage as well! Of course the levelling up system also applies to the Hunter side if you like that better! As an example, imagine having a flipping chicken pet checking out the area for you and then providing the information whether or not anybody is nearby. Not wanting to be a part of any of these actions, then you can just spectate the game! Making things not too repetitive, there will be a few maps that you will be able to choose from. All of them are vibrant and extremely charming in their own way since it really makes you feel like you are in a magical world.. I mean, shouldn’t life be more magical?

There are a couple of game modes that will be available as well! Some of them are pretty much the same since they all seem to be some sort of twist to things like tag along with hide and seek. Personally, my favourite mode must be the one in which the Witches are tasked to fill up a pot with three items in order to win! As a Hunter, it is your job to defend that pot with your life! Considering all of this, it can still be slightly repetitive now and then! Sure, it’s great if you are bored one evening and want to have a great laugh with some of your friends. But if you really enjoy the old days of PropHunt, I wouldn’t be surprised if you would spend a couple of more hours on this one and just sink into it!

What I really love to do is stalking the Hunters whenever I am playing as a Witch! There is nothing more hilarious than seeing them miss you completely as you move around like a plant in a pot! Due to the maps being so limited, I would only recommend picking it up on sale! Like, it is a very strong title, but it just lacks a bit when it comes to the maps and its limits. More maps being added in the future would be pretty amazing, wouldn’t it? Well, that being said.. Let us wrap up this one slap of a review!

At the end of the day, we all have played hide and seek throughout our lives! Whether it is with your classmates from elementary school or your kids, the thrill of not being discovered will never get old! Is it a good title to play with friends? Yes! Will it last for hours? Maybe not, but you can always take a break whenever you feel like it and then pick it back up straight away! As earlier mentioned, I would still suggest waiting for a sale since I really don’t recommend the game at its current price.

Summary

In the end, the game is overall pretty good, but the main issue is the replay value since it can get a bit repetitive now and then! Other than that, everything just seems charming!
